Uplifting the Livelihoods of the Communities through Solar Dryer Products
Our commitment towards the external community is primarily shown through our sustainable Solar Dryer Dome (SDD) product – a solar powered drying solution, shaped like a greenhouse that is suitable for community of farmers/fishermen that produce vast amount of agri-produce/fisheries and Solar Dryer Table (SDT) – a portable version of SDD that is suitable for smaller community of farmers/fishermen.
The innovation aims to create a positive social impact in underserved communities through post-harvest management training to achieve food security and it is conducted by Impack’s Solar Dryer Team.

Comparison of Products Dried through Open-air Drying Vs SDD/SDT
Through proper processing and packaging, as well as by linking them to the market, the value chain actors in rural areas are now able to expand their agri-products market domestically and internationally.
The farmers’ average monthly income increased by 50%, while the market price of their produce increased by 25% via the Solar Dryer utilization.

Women Empowerment in Rural Areas
The program also creates equal employment opportunities for women in the post-harvest value chain, such as during drying, packaging, and marketing the dried products.
Through women involvement, the agricultural output of the farmers and the employment rate of women in underserved areas will be further increased and finally will increase the overall household income.

Testimony of Our Beneficiary
I am very grateful for the presence of SDD which has been very helpful in the drying process. By using SDD, the drying time of the coffee only takes 3-4 days and thus can certainly increase my productivity.
Without SDD, the drying process takes around 8-12 days. though the drying time is faster, my coffee are still of high quality and became more hygienic. Thank you Impack!
