October, 2022 – Haryanto Tjiptodihardjo, President Director of PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk delivers his view on circular economy at UBS APAC Sustainable Finance Conference 2022, together with Rob Kaplan, founder and CEO of Circulate Capital. Haryanto highlights the important role that the company plays in circularity.

Since Impack is a polymer-based building products manufacturer, Impack could contribute by reducing its dependence on virgin materials and becoming one of the solutions in Indonesia’s plastics waste management system. The commitment towards circularity is reflected through the company’s circular product lines made from Post Consumer Resin (PCR).

Haryanto believes that transforming plastic wastes to become building materials might be one of the best solutions to circularity because of the products’ ability to capture carbon during their long service life, instead of recycling the plastic wastes back into single-use plastic.
