Achieved New Milestones, Impack Pratama Enters List of IDX KEHATI’s ESG Index

Jakarta, June 28, 2022 – PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk (“Company”) is listed on the IDX Kehati ESG Sector Leaders Index and the IDX Kehati ESG Quality 45 Index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (“BEI”) effective as of July 1, 2022. The inclusion of the Company on the KEHATI IDX indexes reflects our continued commitment towards environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) practices based on Creating Shared Value (CSV) business model. This inclusion is an important milestone as it will further heighten the awareness of the company’s ESG performance among the capital market players.

As well known, PT BEI and the Biodiversity Foundation (“KEHATI”) launched two new indices called ESG Sector Leaders IDX KEHATI and ESG Quality 45 IDX KEHATI on December 20, 2021. The ESG Sector Leaders Index IDX Kehati is an index that contains stocks with the results of the ESG performance assessment that are above the sector average and have good liquidity. While the IDX Kehati ESG Quality 45 Index is an index that contains the best 45 stocks from the results of the ESG performance assessment and the company’s financial quality and has good liquidity. The two indexes are expected to encourage listed companies to continuously improve their sustainable finance practices by paying attention to ESG aspects in their business processes. In the future, the index can be used as a reference for the creation of investment products based on the ESG index, such as index mutual funds and exchange-traded funds.

In addition, the index can also be used as a reference to form an investment portfolio in shares of issuers that have good ratings for long-term and medium-term investors. This index is also expected to contribute to increase the sustainable development in Indonesia with sustainable principles which are part of the green economy. The issuance of this index is also expected to be able to encourage issuers not only to create profits but also to make sustainable development efforts based on six fundamentals, namely (1) environmental conservation, (2) community, (3) corporate governance, (4) human rights, (5) business behavior, and (6) labor & decent work.
